About Render
Render connects people who need graphics rendering power with those who have spare GPU capacity, creating a decentralized marketplace for 3D rendering and AI compute. Its token, RENDER, is used to pay for these services.
Render Network was founded by Jules Urbach, CEO of the visual effects and rendering software company OTOY, launching in 2017 to solve a problem he knew firsthand: professional 3D rendering needs enormous computing power that sits idle most of the time on ordinary machines.
Render connects people who need GPU computing power for 3D rendering, AI training, or visual effects with individuals and data centers that have spare graphics card capacity. Jobs are submitted to the network, matched with available GPU providers, and verified before payment is released, creating an open marketplace for compute that would otherwise sit unused.
RENDER pays for rendering and compute jobs on the network and is earned by node operators who contribute GPU power. As demand for AI and graphics compute has grown, Render has positioned itself at the intersection of decentralized physical infrastructure and the broader AI compute boom.
