Overview

About QNT

Quant connects different blockchains and traditional systems together using its Overledger technology, aiming to let enterprises build applications that work across multiple networks at once. QNT is its native token.
Quant was founded by Gilbert Verdian, a cybersecurity veteran who previously held senior security roles in the UK and Australian governments and founded the Blockchain ISO standards committee. The project launched in 2018 with its Overledger technology aimed squarely at enterprise and government adoption.
Overledger is an API gateway that lets institutions build applications spanning multiple blockchains and traditional systems without operating nodes themselves. Rather than being a blockchain, it is connective middleware, and Quant has worked on central bank digital currency projects and interbank settlement experiments in the UK and Europe.
QNT is required for licenses to access Overledger: enterprises pay for usage in fiat, which is converted into locked QNT, tying token demand to platform adoption. Its fixed, relatively small supply and enterprise focus make it one of the few tokens whose story centers on regulated institutional infrastructure.
